How it works
Publish, collect, award.
You describe the shipment once. IShip does the asking, the chasing and the collating, and hands you a list you can actually compare.
Step 01
Publish
One form covers the whole shipment: pickup and delivery address, cargo type and description, gross weight, declared goods value, and the cargo lines themselves — cartons or pallets, quantity, and dimensions per line, with presets for standard pallet sizes. Volume and totals are calculated for you.
You then state the terms: which transport modes you will accept, the delivery window, the deadline for bidding, and the handling flags — dangerous goods, stackable, customs declaration required, insurance required. Stating them up front is what stops transporters quoting blind and revising later.
Saved addresses fill the route in. The address book keeps your own labels, a default pickup and a default delivery, ordered by what you actually use.
Step 02
Collect
The tender goes to every approved transporter that is not on your blocklist, and the ones who have asked for it are emailed. They see the full specification and bid against it: price and currency, the delivery date they commit to, whether insurance is included and what it costs, and a note if they have one.
You are emailed each time a bid arrives. Bidders can revise their own bid for as long as the tender is open, and bidding shuts on your deadline, enforced by the server.
Step 03
Award
Every bid sits in one list, sortable by price, with the delivery date and insurance terms alongside. Accept one and the tender closes and the winner is notified in the same transaction — there is no half-awarded state where two carriers both think they have the job.
If nothing worked, reopen the tender. That revokes the award and keeps every bid already made.
Common questions
Who can see my shipment?
Every approved transporter on the platform, except any company on your blocklist — they never learn the shipment exists. Your contact details are not attached: a transporter sees the name, position, email and mobile of the person to call only once they have actually placed a bid.
Can other companies see how many bids I have received?
No. The bid count on a tender is visible to the company that issued it and to nobody else. When you award a job, everyone can see that it was awarded, but only you and the winner see who won.
What happens when the bid deadline passes?
Bidding closes. The deadline is enforced on the server, not in the bidder browser, so nobody gets a late quote in by changing their clock. If nothing acceptable came in, you can reopen the tender — reopening revokes any award and keeps every bid already made.
Does IShip take a commission on the job?
No. IShip does not move cargo, does not set prices and does not take a cut. What you agree with a transporter is between the two of you. The platform is free while we build the network.
Can several people from my company use the same account?
Yes. The account is the company, not the person. Invite colleagues and they work the same tenders and see the same board. If someone leaves, removing their access keeps what they published attributed and intact. One person can also belong to several companies and switch between them without a second login.
How long does approval take?
Every new company is reviewed by a person, so it is not instant. You will get an email when the account is approved. We check that the company is real before it can bid, which is the same check that protects you from whoever is on the other side.
Which transport modes and currencies are supported?
Sea, land, air and rail — individually or several at once on the same tender, so the market can tell you which is cheapest. Prices and declared goods values are in GEL, USD or EUR.
